Toronto, ONの4000系ボギー車・連接車は就役後30年余が経過し，現代のサービス要求水準に合わなくなって来たため，2012年から順次，低床LRV(204組を予定)に置き換える計画が進行中である。それに併せて，前頁のUnion Station Loopのような急曲線の緩和など，施設面でも大幅な改修が計画されている。たとえば最小半径を現行の11mから20mに拡大するためには，約90箇所の交差点やループ線の改修が必要になる(p.17の配線図)等，詳しくは下記を参照されたい。(Photos in Nov. 2006)

Toronto市電3ヶ所の車庫のうち，Queen St. Eastに面したRussell車庫は東部の系統を担当する。構内東側には連接車が留置されるが，ラッピングはどうも好きになれない。	Russell車庫の西側は，ボギー車の留置エリアらしい。西端の22番線には，1世代前のPCC車が2両並んでいるのが見える。
市内西部に位置するRoncesvalles車庫の留置線は，Queenswayに背を向けた格好になる。見るところボギー車しか居ないが，それらが全てポールを上げて尾灯を点灯させる様は壮観ですらある。	Roncesvalles車庫のある交差点にKing St.側からやって来た504系統4042号だが，この電車は車庫前までの入庫便。

Scarborough Rapid Transit is standard-gauged and driven by linear motors. The train headed by Car# 3014 is approaching Kennedy Station, connecting the subway.	Car# 3023 at the other end of the line, McCowan Station.
Toronto's Union Station was opened in 1927, where the long-haul passengers are served by Via Rail and Amtrak.	On week-day mornings, the station is occupied by those double-decker, push-pull commuter trains operated by GO Transit.
